Rekeying & lock changes
New apartment, tenant moved out, keys lost, or a set a contractor never returned.
Rekeying changes which key works without replacing the lock, which makes it the cheapest security upgrade there is when the hardware is still good. We set several doors to one key, or give each unit its own with a single owner key, and cut the new keys on site.
- Rekey after a move, a closing or a tenant leaving
- One key for several doors, or separate keys plus an owner key
- Deadbolt and knob replacement in a matching finish
- New keys cut on site
Brands we work with
- Schlage

Common questions
Is rekeying cheaper than new locks?
Usually, yes. You keep the hardware and only the inside of the cylinder changes. If a lock is too worn to rekey, we say so.
Can one key open all my doors?
Yes. Setting several locks to one key is a normal job.
I just closed on a house. Rekey or replace?
Rekey everything so no old key works, and replace only the locks that are damaged or loose.
