Security systems, keypads & fob entry
When keys keep getting copied, a code or a fob is the cleaner answer. You can cut off one person without touching anyone else, and you stop re-cutting keys every time a roommate changes.
Keypad or fob
A keypad is simple and nothing can be lost, which suits a small office, a studio or a house with a few people. A fob or card reader is better for a building with many users, because each fob is cancelled on its own. We ask how many people use the door and how often that changes before suggesting one.
What actually goes into the door
A reader on its own unlocks nothing. It needs a controller, a power supply, and an electric strike or magnetic lock that does the real work, plus a manual override so a power cut never traps anyone. We pick the parts for the door and frame you have, wire it, set the hold and relock times, and enroll your first fobs before we leave.
Reinforcing the door itself
A lot of Bed-Stuy entries have been forced at least once. A reader on a frame that splinters is money wasted. Where it matters we repair the strike area, fit long-screw strikes and reinforcement plates, and make the door and the lock work together before adding electronics.

Common questions
An employee left. Can I change the code without a visit?
On most keypad systems, yes, and we show you how. On a fob system you cancel that one fob and everyone else keeps theirs.
What happens in a blackout?
The door keeps a manual key override and we set the lock mode so people can always get out.
Can this go on a glass storefront door?
Yes, with the right strike or magnetic lock for that frame. We look at the door before choosing parts.
