Locksmith & intercoms in Bed-Stuy
Bedford-Stuyvesant is home: our base is on Greene Avenue, and most of our calls are within a few minutes of it. The housing is brownstones and limestones cut into two to six apartments, newer condo buildings along the avenues, and storefronts on Fulton, Nostrand, Bedford and Tompkins. A single brownstone can have a street door, a vestibule door, a basement entry and five unit doors, each on its own key.
That mix is why master key systems, tidy rekeys and a working buzzer matter more here than almost anywhere else in Brooklyn. It is also why we diagnose before we quote: the hardware under three coats of paint is usually older than the door looks.
Common questions
Can the owner's key open every door while each tenant only opens their own?
Yes, that is a master key system, and it is the standard setup for a divided brownstone. We chart it so the next change is simple.
Can you keep the original vestibule door hardware?
Usually. We service or rekey older mortise locks where they are sound and replace only the parts that have actually failed.
Do you do storefronts on Fulton Street?
Yes: gate cylinders, panic bars, closers and rekeys after staff changes. Commercial doors take more abuse, so we fit hardware rated for it.
